Morning Glow

Morning glow
I awoke to sounds
trains calling, chasing the endless
the clutter of steel surrounding the lonely
the race across the bridge gate

morning glow
moon setting on deep ceylon
that runs awash
making depths in waves
running into th sublime of the dark

morning glow
I crave the night, the still
to watch the play of light
to reverberate, to pour my hearts fill

but the birds are taking flight
the sun tears gold and red into my blue
and it too
it too is restless for living
